ProfitMetrics Alternatives and Pricing Compared

ProfitMetrics sends profit per order into Google Ads and Meta bidding and prices on a calculator by domains and monthly orders ($32 a month at the default). For a cheaper profit dashboard, BeProfit and TrueProfit are the closest swaps; for one honest return figure across every ad channel, a blended dashboard fits better.

The right ProfitMetrics alternative depends on which half of ProfitMetrics you are replacing. ProfitMetrics does two jobs. It works out the gross profit on every order and sends it to Google Ads and Meta as the conversion value, so the bidding algorithms chase profit instead of revenue (it calls this POAS bidding). It also gives you a real-time profit dashboard. If you want the dashboard for less, BeProfit and TrueProfit are the closest swaps for a Shopify store. If you want one honest return figure across every ad channel, a blended marketing dashboard is the better fit. If you need profit fed back into bidding, few tools do exactly what ProfitMetrics does.

How much does ProfitMetrics cost?

ProfitMetrics does not print a plan ladder. Its pricing page is a calculator with two inputs: the number of websites, countries or domains tracked separately, and total monthly orders across all of them. At the calculator default it shows $32 a month in USD, excluding tax. The price climbs with order volume, and ProfitMetrics says it follows the seasonality of your business, so a December peak costs more than a quiet February. Stores with more than one webshop pay per domain and are asked to request a quote.

What every account includes is generous for the price: the real-time dashboard, POAS bidding, server-side tracking, a Google Ads conversion booster, a Shopping booster for Performance Max, plug-and-play integrations for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and Prestashop, a dedicated account manager and a done-for-you setup. The trial runs 14 days, and you add a card only if you stay.

BeProfit's plans step up in features as well as orders. Basic at $49 covers the profit and expense dashboard, unlimited ad integrations and order and product profit. Pro at $99 adds custom reports, a customizable dashboard and the P&L report. Ultimate at $149 adds profit insights, UTM attribution, LTV cohorts and pricing simulators. Plus at $249 removes the order cap. Annual billing saves 20 percent, and every plan has a 14-day trial.

TrueProfit names its tiers Basic, Advanced, Ultimate and Enterprise. Each covers a monthly order allowance, then charges per extra order: $0.30 on Basic, $0.20 on Advanced, $0.10 on Ultimate and $0.07 on Enterprise, capped at $300, $500, $700 and $1,000 of surcharge a month. Trials run 14 days through the Shopify App Store.

What a 1,200-order and a 3,000-order store pay

Order-metered pricing is easy to misread, so here are two real cases using only published numbers.

Monthly ordersBeProfitTrueProfitMixedMetrics
1,200$149 (Ultimate, 1,700 orders)$100 (Ultimate, 1,500 orders)$79 Starter or $199 Growth, unaffected by orders
3,000$249 (Plus, unlimited)$200 (Enterprise, 3,500 orders)$79 Starter or $199 Growth, unaffected by orders

At 1,200 orders, TrueProfit Advanced would cost $60 plus 600 extra orders at $0.20, or $180, so Ultimate at $100 is the cheaper TrueProfit choice. At 3,000 orders, Ultimate plus 1,500 extra orders at $0.10 comes to $250, so Enterprise at $200 wins. For ProfitMetrics, enter the same order counts in its calculator, because the result depends on your domain count and season.

Which ProfitMetrics alternative should you buy?

Buy BeProfit or TrueProfit if what you liked about ProfitMetrics was seeing real profit per order and per product, after cost of goods, shipping, fees and ad spend, and you run one Shopify store. They are cheaper at most order volumes and built around a store P&L. Neither is sold as a bidding tool, so check with the vendor before assuming either one feeds profit back into Google Ads.

Stay on ProfitMetrics if profit-based bidding is the reason you bought it. Sending gross profit as the conversion value changes what Google Ads and Meta optimize for, and that is a different product from a dashboard. Paying more for a reporting tool will not replace it.

Buy a blended marketing dashboard if the real question is whether total ad spend paid back. Each ad platform claims credit for orders the others also claim, so adding up platform ROAS overstates real revenue, often by 20 to 40 percent. A blended ROAS dashboard divides the revenue your store actually recorded by total spend across Google, Meta and TikTok, and the MER dashboard tracks the same ratio as a trend you can budget against.

Profit apps track the store's side of the money. If you also sell on marketplaces and need payouts from several platforms in one running record, a separate income tracker for sellers covers that, and none of the tools here try to.

Is Triple Whale a ProfitMetrics alternative?

Partly. Triple Whale includes a profit dashboard, attribution and a pixel, and it suits larger Shopify brands that want one suite. It prices on gross merchandise value, starting at $219 a month for Foundation and rising by revenue band, so it costs far more than ProfitMetrics for most stores. A brand doing $2M a year pays $549 a month for Foundation. We set out the full ladder and the cheaper options on our Triple Whale alternative page.

Where MixedMetrics fits, honestly

MixedMetrics does not do POAS bidding, and it does not import cost of goods per product. It reads Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, GA4, Shopify and Stripe read-only and keeps blended ROAS, MER, blended CAC, LTV:CAC and revenue left after ad spend live on one board. Starter is $79 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly, for 5 connected sources. The AI layer that flags where spend is leaking comes with Growth at $199. The price does not move with your order count, which is why it ends up cheaper than order-metered apps for a busy store.

Most stores that bid on profit still need someone to answer the Monday question: did marketing as a whole pay back last week, and which channel should get the next dollar? That is the job our Shopify analytics dashboard is built for, next to whatever tool feeds your bidding.
