Geckoboard alternative: Geckoboard pricing and competitors for marketing dashboards
Geckoboard is a good real-time KPI display. It pulls from 90+ sources, puts the numbers on a TV in the office, and lets anyone with a link see them. For a marketing team it has one hard limit, stated in its own help center: it does not combine or compare data from different sources, so no widget can show Google Ads spend plus Meta spend against Shopify revenue.
Read-only connectors, blended truth, no PII exposure

Figures are illustrative. Your own stack connects read-only.
That rules out the numbers a paid media budget actually runs on: blended ROAS, blended CAC and MER. MixedMetrics is built around exactly that join. It reads Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, GA4, Shopify, Stripe and Klaviyo or HubSpot read-only and computes the blended ratios for you, from $79 a month for 5 connected sources.
Below is an honest comparison, including where Geckoboard is the better buy, a worked price for Geckoboard's two published plans with the add-ons most teams end up paying for, and the other Geckoboard competitors worth a look, using only prices each vendor publishes.
The short answer
The best Geckoboard alternative for a marketing team is a tool that can join ad spend to revenue, because Geckoboard cannot: its help center says it does not support combining data from multiple sources or creating new metrics from them. MixedMetrics computes blended ROAS, blended CAC and MER across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Shopify and Stripe from $79 a month. Geckoboard Essentials starts at $79 a month billed annually for 2 dashboards and 1 editor, and Performance is $319.

Geckoboard is a real-time KPI wallboard for sales, support and operations teams that shows each source on its own widget. MixedMetrics is a marketing and revenue dashboard whose whole job is the cross-source join: total ad spend against the revenue your store and billing actually recorded. One is a display for many teams, the other a calculator for one budget.

| What the price scales with | Connected sources and seats: 15 sources and 3 seats at $199, unlimited sources and 10 seats at $449 | Dashboards at $24 each, editors at $20 each and TV screens at $20 each on Essentials; Performance is $319 for 20 dashboards and 3 editors |

| Tool | Best for | Pricing model | The honest catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| MixedMetrics | Blended ROAS, CAC and MER across ads and revenue | $79 to $449 a month, metered on sources and seats | Waitlist only for now; no Amazon, Microsoft or LinkedIn Ads connectors; white label only on the $449 Scale plan |
| Geckoboard | Real-time TV wallboards for sales, support and ops | Essentials from $79 and Performance $319 a month billed annually; Enterprise quoted | Cannot combine sources or calculate new metrics |
| Databox | KPI dashboards with an AI analyst and goals | Free, then Analyst $71, Team Core $199 or Team Scale $319 a month billed annually; Agency from $79 plus $20 per client pack | White labeling is a $200 a month add-on, and every GA4 property or ad account counts as a data source |
| Klipfolio | Custom BI dashboards built from formulas | $120, $190, $310 or $600 a month billed annually | White label is a separate $299 a month bundle |
| DashThis | Automated client reports for agencies | $44, $139, $279 or $429 a month billed yearly | Meters dashboards and data sources together, and has no API |
| Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) | Free, flexible reports on Google data | Free; Pro $9 per user per project a month | You build and maintain every report, and non-Google sources need a paid connector |
| Power BI | Company-wide BI in the Microsoft stack | Pro $14 per user a month billed yearly | Needs someone to model the data before any dashboard exists |

How much does Geckoboard cost?
Geckoboard publishes two plans and quotes a third. Essentials starts at $79 a month billed annually and includes 2 dashboards, 1 editor, unlimited viewers and 1 TV screen. Each extra dashboard is $24 a month, each extra editor $20, each extra screen $20, and advanced themes with a custom logo add $40. Performance is $319 a month billed annually for 20 dashboards, 3 editors and 5 screens, and adds drilldowns, alerts, custom templates, folders and dashboard verification. Enterprise is quoted and adds SSO, an audit log and a metric building service. Annual billing saves 20 percent, and nonprofits get a further 20 percent off any plan.
The add-ons are where the Essentials price moves. A marketing team that wants 5 dashboards and 2 editors pays $79 plus 3 extra dashboards at $24 and 1 extra editor at $20, which is $171 a month. With 3 editors, Essentials overtakes Performance at 11 dashboards ($335 against $319), so a team heading past ten boards should price Performance first.
MixedMetrics meters different things: connected sources and seats, never dashboards. Starter is $79 for 5 sources and 1 dashboard, Growth is $199 for 15 sources, 3 seats, unlimited dashboards and the AI insight layer, and Scale is $449 for unlimited sources, 10 seats and white-label client reports. Our marketing reporting software pricing comparison lines up 16 tools by what each one meters.
Can Geckoboard combine data from different sources?
No. Geckoboard's help center answers the question directly: "We don't support comparing or combining data from multiple sources." A separate article adds that it does not support combining or aggregating data to create new metrics either, and that any calculation has to happen before the data is sent to Geckoboard, with a spreadsheet as the suggested starting point. Both features are listed as popular requests on its roadmap.
For most teams on Geckoboard that is fine. A support lead watching ticket volume in Zendesk or a sales manager watching pipeline in Salesforce is looking at one source. Marketing is the exception, because every budget question is cross-source. Blended ROAS is total revenue divided by total ad spend across every network, and the revenue has to come from your store or billing system rather than from the ad platforms, since each platform claims conversions the others also claim. We walk through why in why ad platform numbers don't match.
The usual Geckoboard workaround is to build the blend yourself in Google Sheets or a tool like Parabola or Make, then send the finished number to a Geckoboard dataset. It works, but the dashboard then only displays a calculation someone maintains by hand, which is the job a blended ROAS dashboard exists to remove.
Is Geckoboard good for marketing dashboards?
It is good for single-channel monitoring. Geckoboard connects to Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google Analytics, and a Google Ads widget will happily show spend, clicks, conversions and the ROAS Google reports about itself. On a TV screen in a paid media team, that is a useful live monitor of campaign health.
It is a poor fit for the questions that decide next month's budget: did total spend across Google, Meta and TikTok pay back, what did a new customer cost across all of it, and is that ratio getting better or worse. Those need the join Geckoboard does not do. A marketing dashboard built for blended metrics answers them without a spreadsheet in the middle, and our marketing KPI dashboard page covers which ratios belong on the first screen.
Geckoboard vs Databox vs Klipfolio
These are the three names that come up together most, and they split cleanly. Geckoboard is the simplest and the most display-oriented: each widget reads one source, and the product is built to be glanced at. Klipfolio is the most flexible: its formula language can combine sources, which is exactly what Geckoboard cannot do, at the cost of someone learning to write and maintain those formulas. Klips runs $120, $190, $310 or $600 a month billed annually, and white label is a separate $299 a month bundle, as our Klipfolio pricing breakdown details.
Databox relaunched with new plans on September 11, 2026. It now sells Free, Analyst at $71 a month billed annually (1 user, 5 data sources), Team Core at $199 (3 users, 10 sources) and Team Scale at $319 (10 users, 30 sources), plus an Agency plan from $79 a month with client packs at $20 each for 1 client and 5 sources. Monthly billing costs more: $249 for Team Core, $399 for Team Scale and $99 for Agency. White labeling is a $200 a month add-on. Databox counts every GA4 property or ad account as its own data source, so a stack with several ad accounts reaches the source cap faster than the plan names suggest.
If you are weighing either one against us specifically, the Databox alternative and Klipfolio alternative pages go through each comparison in detail.
What Geckoboard does that MixedMetrics does not
Geckoboard wins on breadth and on display. It connects to 90+ sources across sales, support, finance and engineering, including Salesforce, Zendesk, Aircall, Jira and SQL databases, so one account can run dashboards for the whole company. MixedMetrics is deliberately narrow: ad platforms, analytics, your store and your billing, with no Amazon Ads, Microsoft Ads or LinkedIn Ads connectors.
Geckoboard also shows dashboards to unlimited viewers on every plan, rotates them on office TVs without special hardware, and pushes them to Slack, Microsoft Teams and email. MixedMetrics includes 1 seat on Starter, 3 on Growth and 10 on Scale, and is not built as a wallboard. And Geckoboard is on sale today, while MixedMetrics is currently waitlist only.
What MixedMetrics does instead is the calculation. If the number your team argues about on Monday is whether marketing as a whole paid back, rather than how any one channel is trending, that is the gap a Geckoboard wallboard leaves open and the one we are built to close.
Why teams pick MixedMetrics
Blended truth, AI insights, no BI tool
One blended read-out
Blended ROAS, CAC, MER, LTV, and revenue by channel in one live view, instead of eight platform dashboards each claiming the same conversion under its own attribution.

Connect, do not migrate
Read-only connectors to GA4, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Stripe, Shopify, and more. No BI tool to build, no data engineer, first blended dashboard in minutes.
