Raven Tools alternative: alternatives to Raven Tools compared on seats, integrations and SEO scope
Raven Tools is one of the original agency reporting platforms, acquired by TapClicks in 2017 and still sold as an all-in-one SEO and marketing reporting suite. Its core loop is familiar to anyone who ran an SEO shop in the last decade: crawl the site with the Site Auditor, track positions with the SERP rank tracker, pull backlink and competitor data, connect 20 or so marketing sources including Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bing, and LinkedIn Ads, then push the whole thing into a branded, automated client report. Pricing runs from $39 to $399 per month on annual billing, scaled by how many domains and users you need rather than by client count. For an SEO-first agency that is a genuinely efficient bundle, because the rank tracking you would otherwise buy separately is already in the box.
read-only connectors // blended truth // no PII exposure
|
Illustrative example figures · not a customer account · your own stack connects read-only
MixedMetrics is not that bundle, and it is worth saying so plainly. There is no crawler, no rank tracker, and no backlink index here. What MixedMetrics does is the money math that SEO reporting suites leave out: read-only connectors to GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Search Console, Shopify, Stripe, and Klaviyo or HubSpot feed one live board showing blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, LTV, and revenue by channel, with an AI layer that flags what changed and where spend is leaking. If your agency has drifted from SEO retainers into paid media and the reporting stack never followed, that is the gap this fills.
The short answer
Raven Tools is an SEO-led agency reporting suite owned by TapClicks, priced by domains and users rather than per client: $39 per month for 2 campaigns up to $399 per month for 320 on yearly prepaid billing, or $49 to $479 paid monthly, with full white label from the $139 Grow tier and a 7-day trial. It is a sound fit for SEO agencies that want rank tracking, site audits, and backlink data in the same place as client reports. It is a weak fit for paid media, because it reports channel activity and never blends ad spend against booked revenue. MixedMetrics does that part: blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, and LTV across every connected channel from $79 per month.

Raven Tools is an SEO-first agency reporting suite: crawler, rank tracker, backlink data, and white-label client reports, priced by domains and users. MixedMetrics is a blended marketing and revenue dashboard: blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, and LTV across paid, ecommerce, and billing data, with an AI what-changed layer. SEO reporting versus profitability reporting.

A fair look at what each does well. Both can show you marketing numbers. Here is where they differ.
| What matters | MixedMetrics | Raven Tools |
|---|---|---|
| Blended ROAS and MER across ad, sales, and ecom | Blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, and LTV computed the moment you connect | Reports per-channel metrics into client reports, no blended spend-to-revenue math |
| SEO tooling: rank tracking, crawls, backlinks | None. We do not crawl sites, track keyword positions, or index backlinks | Strong: SERP rank tracker, Site Auditor, Backlink Checker, Link Spy, keyword research |
| Pricing model | From $79 per month, set by connected sources and seats, unaffected by domains or rankings | By domains and users: $39/mo (2 campaigns, 2 users) to $399/mo (320 campaigns, 40 users) annually |
| White-label client reporting | White-label reports and client workspaces on the $449 Scale plan, plus scheduled blended summaries to email and Slack | Automated branded PDF and web reports, full white label from the $139 Grow tier |

Every price below was read off the vendor's own pricing page in July 2026. Where a vendor publishes in euros or refuses to publish at all, we say so rather than inventing a dollar figure.
Swipe to see pricing and the catch
| Tool | Best for | Pricing model | The honest catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raven Tools | SEO agencies that want rank tracking, crawls, backlinks, and client reports in one subscription | By domains and users: Small Biz $39/mo (2 campaigns, 2 users), Start $79 (20, 4 users), Grow $139 (80, 8 users), Thrive $249 (160, 20 users), Lead $399 (320, 40 users) on yearly prepaid billing. Monthly is $49, $109, $199, $299, $479 | SEO-first by design, so paid media reporting is shallow and nothing blends ad spend against revenue. Seat caps often force a tier upgrade before client count does |
| MixedMetrics | Agencies and teams that need to prove spend was profitable, not just report search and channel activity | $79, $199 or $449/mo by connected sources and seats, never by domain or client count | No rank tracker, no crawler, no backlink index, and white label only on the $449 Scale plan |
| AgencyAnalytics | Agencies that live on branded client report packs across 85+ integrations | One Core plan since May 2026: $20 per client per month billed annually, every feature included | Linear per-client billing, and rank tracking is a $41.67/mo add-on per 500 keywords rather than part of the plan |
| DashThis | Cheapest credible swap for straightforward automated client dashboards | By dashboard count: $44/mo (3 dashboards), $139 (10), $279 (25), $429 (50+) | Full white labeling only from the Business tier, and no SEO tooling of its own |
| Swydo | Agencies with many clients but only a few platforms per client | From $69/mo billed annually, 10 data sources included, about $4.50 per source from 11 to 100 | Roughly 32 integrations, and the bill climbs with every connected ad account rather than every client |
| Databox | Mixed marketing and business KPIs in one place, with a usable free tier | Free, then Analyst $64/mo, Pro $159/mo, Growth $399/mo annually, plus $5.60 per extra data source | Free and Analyst tiers are single user, and it is a KPI dashboard rather than an agency reporting suite |
| Looker Studio | Zero-budget reporting when someone on the team will maintain it | Free, with Looker Studio Pro at $9 per user per project per month | Non-Google sources need paid third-party connectors, and nothing blends spend against revenue for you |

In depth
What agencies actually ask before they leave Raven Tools
How much does Raven Tools cost?
Raven publishes five tiers and, unusually for this category, prices them by domains and users rather than by client. On annual billing: Small Biz is $39 per month for 2 domains or campaigns, 2 users, and 1,500 position checks. Start is $79 for 20 campaigns, 4 users, and 15,000 checks. Grow is $139 for 80 campaigns, 8 users, 20,000 checks, and full white label. Thrive is $249 for 160 campaigns, 20 users, and 25,000 checks. Lead is $399 for 320 campaigns, 40 users, and 30,000 checks. Monthly billing costs more at every tier, running $49, $109, $199, $299, and $479 respectively, so the annual commitment saves up to about 30 percent.
The trial is 7 days, which is short for a reporting tool. A fortnight is roughly the minimum needed to connect a real client, let data accumulate, and judge whether the reports are worth sending, so plan to connect on day one rather than day four.
Should an SEO-led agency move to per-client reporting pricing?
They price on completely different axes, which is what makes the comparison awkward and also what makes it easy once you know your own shape. Raven charges for capacity: how many domains you track and how many seats you need. AgencyAnalytics charges for clients, at $20 per client per month on annual billing since its May 2026 repricing. An SEO agency with 40 domains under management and a small team pays $399 at Raven and $800 at AgencyAnalytics. A paid-media shop with 8 clients and a big team pays $200 at AgencyAnalytics and would be paying Raven for a rank tracker it barely opens.
On features, Raven is deeper on search: the crawler, the position tracker, the backlink and link-spy tooling are all first-party and included. AgencyAnalytics is broader across paid, social, email, and call tracking with 85+ integrations, a more modern report builder, and a client portal, but its rank tracking is a paid add-on at $41.67 per month per 500 keywords. Our full breakdown of the reporting field sits on the AgencyAnalytics alternative page.
The detail that decides it more often than client count is seats. Raven caps users at 2, 4, 8, 20 and 40 by tier, so a ten-client agency with eight staff cannot use the $79 Start plan at all and lands on Grow at $139. AgencyAnalytics has no seat cap on any plan. We ran the full cost comparison at six agency sizes, on prices verified in August 2026, in Agency Analytics vs Raven Tools. For the wider field, Raven Tools competitors puts nine tools side by side on entry price, what each one meters, seat limits and whether white label is included or sold separately.
Neither of them answers the profitability question. Both will tell a client that impressions rose 22 percent and cost per click fell 8 cents. Neither will tell you that blended ROAS across all channels slipped below the point where the account makes money, because neither one puts total spend and total revenue in the same frame.
Is Raven Tools still worth it in 2026?
For an SEO-led agency, yes, on price alone. Buying a rank tracker, a site crawler, a backlink index, and a white-label reporting layer as four separate subscriptions will cost more than $139 per month, and Raven bundles them. The product has stayed close to its original shape since the TapClicks acquisition, which is a fair criticism if you want new capabilities every quarter and completely irrelevant if you want a stable tool that keeps producing reports.
The honest reason agencies leave is not that Raven got worse. It is that their own business changed. An agency that started with SEO retainers and now runs Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok budgets for the same clients finds the reporting stack is still built around keyword positions, while the conversation with the client has become entirely about return on ad spend. That is a fit problem, not a quality problem.
Does Raven Tools show blended ROAS or ad profitability?
No. Raven pulls per-channel metrics from the sources you connect and presents them in reports, so a client sees Google Ads cost and conversions in one module and Facebook Ads cost and conversions in another. Nothing sums total spend across every platform, sets it against revenue actually collected in Shopify or Stripe, and returns a single number. You can do the arithmetic in a spreadsheet each month, and plenty of agencies do.
MixedMetrics treats that number as the product. Total revenue against total spend across every connected account, alongside blended CAC, MER, LTV, and revenue by channel, recalculated as data lands. The reason it matters is that platform-reported ROAS double counts: Google, Meta, and TikTok each claim the same customer under their own attribution window, so the sum of their reported revenue routinely exceeds what the business actually billed. Our explainer on blended ROAS versus platform ROAS works through the gap with real numbers, and the blended ROAS dashboard shows what the finished view looks like.
Who else reports at Raven pricing, and what do you give up?
Raven has three sets of competitors and they barely overlap, which is why generic Raven Tools alternatives lists are so unhelpful. On client reporting it competes with AgencyAnalytics ($20 per client per month on annual billing, white-label branding and client portal included), DashThis (from $44 a month for 3 dashboards, with connected-source caps added in the 2026 repricing), Swydo ($62 a month including 10 data sources, then $4.50 per extra source, full white labeling included), and Klipfolio Klips (from $120 a month, with white labeling sold separately at $299 a month). On SEO tooling it competes with dedicated rank trackers and crawlers, which Raven bundles and most reporting tools do not carry at all. On proving profitability it competes with blended dashboards, and that is where we sit.
Normalized to cost per client, Raven is the cheapest credible option in the reporting group at almost any roster size: at 10 clients Start is $79 a month, about $7.90 each, and at 25 clients Grow is $139, about $5.56 each. Nothing else on the list gets near that. The catch is that you are buying an SEO platform and pricing it against paid media reporting tools. If your retainers are SEO retainers, the bundle is genuinely good value. If your retainers are paid media, you are paying for a crawler, a backlink index, and a rank tracker you will not open. We priced all seven side by side in agency reporting software pricing, at 10, 25, and 50 clients.
A note on the Raven Tools top 100 searches that bring people here: that refers to ranked lists Raven published as marketing content, not to a product tier or a feature. It is not something you buy, and it does not appear on their pricing page.
What happens to rank tracking and site audits if you leave Raven?
You lose them, and no blended dashboard gives them back. This is the part most alternative roundups skip, so it is worth being blunt about. The Raven Site Auditor, the SERP rank tracker, the backlink index and the competitor research tooling are first-party features of the platform. MixedMetrics has none of them and is not trying to. If those four things are why you opened Raven this morning, a profitability dashboard is not the swap you are looking for.
The practical route agencies take is to unbundle rather than replace. Keep a dedicated rank tracker and crawler for the SEO retainers, and put the client-facing reporting somewhere that handles paid channels properly. That is why searches like raven site auditor and raven seo tools so often end up next to searches for reporting software: the same agency is trying to solve two jobs that Raven happened to sell together. Ahrefs, Semrush and Moz all cover the search half more deeply than Raven does, which is the real answer to the raven tools vs moz question, and none of them price like a reporting tool.
What we replace is the other half. Once ad budgets outgrow keyword positions, the report that matters is total spend against revenue actually collected, not positions gained. If your agency still sells SEO retainers, the honest configuration is a search tool plus a blended dashboard, and the combined bill usually still lands under what a per-client reporting platform costs at 25 clients. The nine-tool price comparison in Raven Tools competitors shows where each option sits, including the ones that carry SEO tooling and the ones that do not.
What is better than Raven Tools?
Nothing is better at everything, so answer it per job. For white-label client delivery at scale, AgencyAnalytics is better: one $20 per client price with unlimited data sources per client, a client portal, custom domain and email, 85 or more integrations, and MCP access for ChatGPT and Claude. Raven caps campaigns and users per tier, so a growing team hits a seat wall Raven charges to remove. For paid media reporting specifically, both DashThis and AgencyAnalytics carry broader ad platform coverage than Raven, which was built around search.
For cost at a large, simple roster, Raven is still hard to beat and honesty requires saying so. Where it falls behind is the currency of the platform itself. It has been under TapClicks since 2017, its integration catalogue has moved slowly against competitors adding AI and MCP access, and plenty of agencies now keep it for rank tracking while running client reports somewhere else.
For the specific question of whether last month's spend made money, none of them answers it, including Raven. They report what each platform claims about itself, which double counts any customer who touched two channels. Total revenue over total spend across every channel and the store is a different measurement, and it is what blended ROAS, blended CAC, and MER give you from $79 a month.
What is the best Raven Tools alternative?
It depends which half of Raven you actually use. If it is the SEO half, the honest answer is that you want a dedicated rank tracking and site audit tool plus a reporting layer, and no single product on this page replaces the bundle at the price. If it is the reporting half, AgencyAnalytics at $20 per client and DashThis at $44 per month for 3 dashboards are the closest like-for-like swaps, and both handle paid channels better than Raven does.
If what you are really trying to fix is that the reports look busy and prove nothing, the replacement is a different category. A blended dashboard costs $79 per month, connects read-only in minutes, and answers the question the client keeps asking. We compared the whole field on published prices in our guide to marketing reporting software for agencies, and the ad spend tracking view is where most agencies start.
