COMPARE // NORTHBEAM

Northbeam alternative with blended ROAS and CAC at a fraction of the price

Northbeam is a heavyweight multi-touch attribution platform built for high-spend ecommerce. It stitches click and view data into a first-party attribution model, layers on creative analytics and media-mix planning, and gives large DTC advertisers a defensible read on which touchpoints drove revenue. Public reporting puts the Starter tier around $1,500 per month for brands spending under roughly $125,000 a month, with Professional custom quoted (third parties cite roughly $2,500 to $3,500) and Enterprise priced for advertisers above $500,000 a month. There is no free plan. If you are spending seven figures a year on paid media and attribution error costs you more than the license, that price is rational.

MixedMetrics is deliberately a smaller tool for a smaller spend. Connect read-only to GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Search Console, Shopify, Stripe, and Klaviyo or HubSpot, and you get one live dashboard with blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, LTV, and revenue by channel, plus an AI layer that flags what changed and where money is leaking. We do not model multi-touch attribution and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do is make the blended numbers trustworthy for $79 per month.

The short answer

Northbeam now shows figures on its own pricing page: Starter at $1,500 for brands spending under $1.5m a year on ads, Professional at $3,500 per month for spend up to $500k a month, and Custom quotes for its agency-partner and Enterprise tiers. Every tier still says contact us for a quote, so there is no self-serve checkout and no free plan. That buys serious multi-touch attribution built for large DTC advertisers. MixedMetrics is the practical alternative for brands that are not yet spending at that level: blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, and LTV across every channel from $79 per month, attribution-lite rather than full MTA.

Last updated August 2026

Northbeam is enterprise-grade multi-touch attribution for high-spend DTC brands, starting around $1,500 per month. MixedMetrics is the flat-rate blended alternative for brands below that threshold: blended ROAS, CAC, MER, and LTV across ad, store, and billing data from $79 per month, with the AI leak-finder from $199. Full MTA modeling versus honest blended math.

In depth

What buyers ask when they compare Northbeam

How much does Northbeam cost?

Northbeam does not publish a self-serve price list. Third-party reporting in 2026 places the Starter tier at about $1,500 per month for brands spending under roughly $125,000 a month on ads, including multi-touch attribution and limited creative analytics. Professional is custom quoted, commonly cited in the $2,500 to $3,500 per month range, and aimed at brands above $250,000 a month. Enterprise is quoted for advertisers above $500,000 a month. There is no free plan and pricing scales with media spend and data volume.

Treat those figures as directional rather than a quote. The point is the shape: Northbeam has a floor, and that floor is roughly eighteen times a flat-rate blended dashboard for a year of service.

Do I actually need multi-touch attribution?

Below a certain spend, usually no. Multi-touch attribution earns its keep when the difference between a 3.1 and a 3.6 ROAS on one channel is worth tens of thousands of dollars a month in reallocated budget. At $20,000 a month in ad spend, the modeling error in any MTA system is larger than the decisions it would change, and the honest answer comes from blended math: total revenue against total spend, watched over time.

Privacy changes made this more true, not less. Cookie deprecation and iOS restrictions cut the share of conversions any click-based model can observe, which is why so many teams now anchor on blended numbers and use attribution as a directional tiebreaker. We wrote up the trade-offs in attribution versus marketing mix modeling.

Northbeam vs Triple Whale vs MixedMetrics

Northbeam and Triple Whale compete directly for the same DTC buyer, with Northbeam leaning toward attribution rigor and Triple Whale toward the Shopify-native operating dashboard. Both are ecommerce-first and both are priced for brands with meaningful media budgets.

MixedMetrics sits below and slightly to the side of both. It is not ecommerce-only, so SaaS companies and agencies use it too, and it does not attempt multi-touch modeling. If you are choosing between Northbeam and Triple Whale, you are probably past our tier. If you are choosing because both quotes made you wince, that is exactly who a $79-a-month dashboard is for. Our Triple Whale comparison covers that side.

What do I give up by not using Northbeam?

Per-touchpoint credit, view-through modeling, creative-level attribution at scale, and the media-mix planning tooling that large advertisers use to move seven-figure budgets. Those are real capabilities and a blended dashboard does not replace them.

What you keep is the number that decides whether the business is working: total spend against total revenue, blended CAC against LTV, and a payback period you can act on. For most brands under six figures a month, that is the whole decision, and paying an attribution floor to get it is expensive.

Why teams pick MixedMetrics

Blended truth, AI insights, no BI tool

01

One blended read-out

Blended ROAS, CAC, MER, LTV, and revenue by channel in one live view, instead of eight platform dashboards each claiming the same conversion under its own attribution.

02

AI that finds the leak

A built-in insight layer reads the blended data and tells you what changed and where spend is leaking, so you act before the month closes. No analyst required.

03

Connect, do not migrate

Read-only connectors to GA4, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Stripe, Shopify, and more. No BI tool to build, no data engineer, first blended dashboard in minutes.

Good questions

Northbeam vs MixedMetrics, answered

For brands that still need full multi-touch attribution, Triple Whale is the direct competitor, and Cometly does the same job for B2B SaaS teams rather than ecommerce. For brands that mainly need trustworthy blended numbers without an enterprise attribution price tag, MixedMetrics gives you blended ROAS, CAC, MER, and LTV across every channel from $79 per month.
Northbeam does not publish self-serve pricing. No. MixedMetrics is attribution-lite: it blends spend and revenue across every connected channel rather than assigning fractional credit to individual touchpoints. If per-touchpoint modeling is what you need, Northbeam is genuinely better and we would rather say so than oversell.
For most brands under roughly $100,000 a month in ad spend, yes. Blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER, and CAC payback answer whether growth is profitable, and the modeling error in any attribution system at that spend level is usually larger than the decisions it would change.
