Coupler.io vs Supermetrics: pricing, data sources and row limits compared

Supermetrics changed its pricing in a way most comparison articles have not caught up with yet. It moved from a euro-only price list to US dollars, and it retired the Pro tier that used to sit between Growth and Enterprise. That matters if you are shopping right now, because the old three-step ladder people quote at you (39, 159, 399) no longer exists, and the ceiling on published pricing is much lower than it was.

Coupler.io did not change. It still runs a free plan and three paid tiers, and it still refuses to ration connectors by tier, which is the single most unusual thing about how it charges.

This page puts the current published pricing for both side by side, explains exactly what each one meters, works through what a real four-source, three-person team pays on each, and is direct about which one wins for which buyer. Every figure below was read off coupler.io/pricing and supermetrics.com/pricing in September 2026.

The short answer

Coupler.io is cheaper than Supermetrics for most US marketing teams, and the reason is structural rather than promotional. Coupler.io gates on connected accounts and puts all 438 of its data sources on every plan including the free one, running $24 a month on Starter to $199 on Pro billed annually. Supermetrics gates on four meters simultaneously, data sources, accounts per source, user seats and core destinations, and runs $44 on Starter to $177 on Growth billed yearly. The gap that matters is not the sticker price but the seat line: Coupler.io includes unlimited users from $99, while Supermetrics includes one user on Starter and two on Growth and charges $99 a month for each additional seat. Supermetrics is the more mature product on connector reliability and is the only one of the two with a first-class ChatGPT and Claude destination. Neither one calculates blended ROAS against the revenue your store actually banked.

Why it works

What you get with coupler.io vs supermetrics

01

One meter versus four

Coupler.io gates on connected accounts, and from Active at $99 that is close to the only meter left, because seats and row volume both go unlimited. Supermetrics counts data sources, accounts per source, core destinations and user seats at the same time, on every tier. That single difference explains most of the price gap at team scale.

02

Connectors are rationed on one of them

Coupler.io puts all 438 of its data sources on every plan, including the free one. Supermetrics caps you at 3 sources on Starter and 6 on Growth, then sells more at $37 each up to a limit of 9 extra. The cap, not the catalog, is what decides whether a tool fits.

03

Neither one blends spend against banked revenue

Both are pipes. They move what each ad platform says about itself into a destination you own. Reconciling that total against Shopify and Stripe, so you can see blended ROAS and blended CAC, is a different job that neither product does.

In depth

Coupler.io vs Supermetrics, decided on the things that actually change the bill

Is Coupler.io cheaper than Supermetrics?

At the entry point they are close, and at team scale Coupler.io is substantially cheaper. Coupler.io Starter is $24 a month billed annually against Supermetrics Starter at $44, so Coupler.io is roughly 45 percent less for the cheapest paid plan. The gap widens fast once a second or third person needs access, because Coupler.io stops charging for seats entirely from Active at $99 while Supermetrics charges $99 a month for each extra seat on top of Growth.

The honest caveat is that the two cheapest Coupler.io tiers are more restricted than its reputation suggests. Free allows 100 rows per run and manual refresh only. Starter allows 5,000 rows per run, one destination and one user. The shorthand that Coupler.io meters only connected accounts is true from Active at $99 upward, and not before.

So the fair comparison is Coupler.io Active at $99 against Supermetrics Growth at $177. At that level Coupler.io gives you 15 connected accounts, 3 destinations, unlimited users, daily refresh and unlimited rows. Supermetrics gives you 6 data sources, 7 accounts per source, 1 destination, 2 users and daily refresh. Which is better value depends entirely on whether your constraint is accounts or sources.

What does Supermetrics cost compared with Coupler.io?

Supermetrics now publishes two prices and a quote. Starter is $44 a month billed yearly or $55 monthly. Growth is $177 yearly or $222 monthly. Above that there is Enterprise, which is a sales conversation. Until recently there was a Pro tier between the two, and it is gone, which means the published ceiling for self-serve buying has dropped considerably.

That change cuts both ways. If you were going to buy Growth anyway it makes no difference. If you needed what Pro used to include, which was data transformations, more sources and a third seat, you are now either buying paid extras on top of Growth or talking to sales. Data transformations, data warehousing and Supermetrics Storage all sit on Enterprise now.

Coupler.io by contrast publishes its whole ladder, including the top self-serve tier at $199 a month annually for 50 connected accounts, unlimited destinations, unlimited users and hourly refresh. You can buy that with a credit card. That transparency is worth something on its own when you are building a budget you have to defend.

Which one connects to BigQuery or Snowflake?

Both can, but they price it very differently, and this is probably the sharpest practical difference between the two products. On Coupler.io, BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift and Supabase are ordinary destinations on paid plans. You pick them the same way you would pick Google Sheets.

On Supermetrics, warehouse destinations sit on the Enterprise tier. The published Starter and Growth plans offer core destinations only, which means Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI and the AI assistants. If your plan is to land marketing data in a warehouse and model it there, Supermetrics will route you through a quote and Coupler.io will not.

This is the single most common reason we see teams switch. It is not that Supermetrics cannot do it. It is that a team of three with a modest warehouse ends up in an enterprise sales cycle for something that reads like a checkbox feature.

How many data sources do you get on each plan?

Coupler.io does not cap data sources at all. All 438 of them are available on every plan including Free, and 220 or so dashboard templates come with them. What Coupler.io caps is connected accounts: 1 on Free, 3 on Starter, 15 on Active, 50 on Pro, with extras at $4.49 each on annual billing.

Supermetrics caps both. You get 3 data sources on Starter and 6 on Growth, and separately 3 or 7 accounts per data source. Those two meters multiply in a way that catches agencies out. An agency running 12 Google Ads accounts is consuming account slots even though Google Ads is a single data source, and on Growth the ceiling is 7 accounts plus up to 15 paid extras.

The practical rule: if your stack is many platforms and few accounts, Coupler.io is dramatically cheaper. If your stack is few platforms and many accounts, the two converge, and Supermetrics account extras at $11 are cheaper per unit than Coupler.io accounts at $4.49 are, until you notice Coupler.io includes 15 to begin with on Active.

Is Coupler.io a good Supermetrics alternative for agencies?

For the data-movement job, yes, and the seat policy is the reason. Agencies add people. Account managers, analysts, a strategist, sometimes the client. Coupler.io stops charging for users from Active at $99, so headcount does not touch the bill. Supermetrics charges $99 a month per extra seat above two, capped at five extras, so a seven-person team is paying $177 plus $495.

What Coupler.io will not do, and what Supermetrics will not do either, is produce a branded client report. Neither is a reporting platform. Both move data into a destination where you still have to build the thing the client reads. If the deliverable you sell is a white-labeled PDF, look at the tools built for that instead, which we compare in agency reporting software pricing.

One more limit worth naming before you commit. Supermetrics puts ChatGPT and Claude in as first-class core destinations with a monthly AI credit allowance, 4,000 on Starter and 12,000 on Growth. If querying your marketing data through an AI assistant is part of how your team works, that is a genuine Supermetrics advantage and Coupler.io has no equivalent.

Do either of them calculate blended ROAS?

No, and this is the limitation that sends teams looking for a third tool a few months after buying either one. Coupler.io and Supermetrics both move platform-reported numbers into a destination. Google Ads says it drove this much revenue, Meta says it drove that much, and if you add those two claims together you overstate your real total by roughly 20 to 40 percent, because both platforms claim the same conversions.

Getting to a number you can actually spend against means reconciling ad spend from every channel with revenue as your store and payment processor recorded it. That is blended ROAS, and alongside it blended CAC, MER and LTV:CAC. It is a different job from moving rows, and it is the job MixedMetrics does for a flat $79 a month with every channel and user included.

The two are not mutually exclusive, and plenty of teams run both. A connector feeds a warehouse or a spreadsheet for ad-hoc analysis, and a blended board answers the weekly question of where the next dollar of budget should go. If you want the wider field priced, Coupler.io vs Funnel.io vs Windsor.ai compares five connectors on what each one meters, and Supermetrics alternatives covers the rest of the market.

Good questions

Questions about coupler.io vs supermetrics

Coupler.io for most teams, because Supermetrics meters four things at once: data sources, accounts per source, user seats and core destinations. Coupler.io includes unlimited users from $99 a month while Supermetrics charges $99 for each seat above two. Supermetrics wins if you need its connector maturity, its AI assistant destinations, or its transformation depth.
Coupler.io has a free plan at $0 and three paid tiers billed in US dollars: Starter at $32 a month or $24 billed annually, Active at $132 or $99, and Pro at $259 or $199, plus a quoted Agency and Enterprise tier. Extra connected accounts cost $4.49 each on annual billing and $5.99 on monthly billing.
Supermetrics publishes Starter at $44 a month billed yearly and Growth at $177, with Enterprise quoted. Coupler.io publishes Starter at $24, Active at $99 and Pro at $199 billed annually, plus a free plan. Coupler.io is cheaper at every equivalent step and is the only one of the two that publishes a price for its top self-serve tier.
No. As of September 2026 Supermetrics publishes Starter and Growth plus a quoted Enterprise tier. The Pro tier that used to sit above Growth has been retired, and the features associated with it, including data transformations and warehousing, now sit on Enterprise. Any comparison quoting a Supermetrics Pro price is out of date.
Coupler.io has a permanently free plan with one connected account, one destination, manual refresh and 100 rows per run, and all 438 data sources are available on it. Supermetrics has no free tier, only a 14-day trial that does not require a credit card. After the trial you must pick a paid plan to keep transfers running.
Yes. BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift and Supabase are ordinary destinations on Coupler.io paid plans, alongside Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI, Tableau and Qlik. Supermetrics places warehouse destinations on its Enterprise tier, so the same job there starts with a sales conversation rather than a checkout.
It depends on the shape of the book rather than its size. Coupler.io meters connected accounts, so many platforms across few accounts is cheap there. Supermetrics meters sources and accounts per source together, so few platforms across many accounts converges. Coupler.io usually wins on headcount, because it stops charging for seats from $99.
Neither. Both move platform-reported figures into a destination you own, and adding platform-claimed revenue together overstates the real total by roughly 20 to 40 percent because the platforms claim the same conversions. Blended ROAS requires reconciling spend against revenue your store and payment processor actually banked.
