Coupler.io vs Porter Metrics

Coupler.io vs Porter Metrics pricing, plans, accounts and data sources compared

Coupler.io and Porter Metrics get compared because they sit in the same place in a marketing stack. Both pull data out of Google Ads, Meta, GA4, Shopify and the rest, and both push it into a place where you build the report, usually Looker Studio or Google Sheets. Both also bill on the same unit, the connected account, which is why a quick look at either pricing page makes them seem interchangeable.

What's working
Where money leaks

Figures are illustrative. Your own stack connects read-only.

They are not priced the same way at all. Coupler.io sells a plan with a ceiling on accounts and lets you buy a few more on top. Porter Metrics sells the accounts themselves, and the rate per account falls as you connect more, sometimes by enough that adding accounts lowers the bill. The result is that the cheaper tool changes depending on whether you run five accounts or a hundred.

This page puts both published price lists side by side, works out what 1 to 100 accounts cost on each, covers the limits that decide your tier before the account count does, and is direct about where each one wins. Every figure was read off coupler.io/pricing and portermetrics.com/en/pricing, including the Porter FAQ that prints its full per-account ladder.

The short answer

Porter Metrics (portermetrics.com) is cheaper than Coupler.io once you connect more than about 10 accounts, and Coupler.io is cheaper for three to five. Both bill on connected accounts. Coupler.io sells plan ceilings, Starter at $24 a month billed annually for 3 accounts, Active at $99 for 15 and Pro at $199 for 50, plus $4.49 per extra account. Porter Metrics charges per account on a sliding rate, $15 for one, a flat $100 for 13 to 20, $4 each from 50 and $2 each from 200, with two months free on annual billing. At 100 accounts that is about $225 a month on Porter against $423.50 on Coupler.io. Coupler.io has the far larger catalog, roughly 440 sources against 30 or so, and treats BigQuery and Snowflake as ordinary destinations. Neither one reconciles ad spend against the revenue your store and billing actually recorded.

Why it works

What you get with Coupler.io vs Porter Metrics

01

Same unit, different curve

Both tools count connected accounts, meaning an ad account, a GA4 property or a store. Coupler.io charges a plan price with an account ceiling, then $4.49 per extra account on annual billing. Porter Metrics charges every account at a rate that falls from $15 to $2 as the total grows, so its curve bends down while Coupler.io climbs in steps.

02

Catalog versus price at scale

Coupler.io lists about 440 sources, including CRMs, finance tools and databases, on every plan. Porter Metrics lists 30 or so, focused on ads, analytics, ecommerce and social. If your stack is mainstream marketing platforms, Porter covers it for less at volume. If it includes anything unusual, check the catalog before you check the price.

03

Neither one closes the revenue loop

Both are pipes into a report you still build. Each ad platform claims its own conversions, and adding those claims together overstates the real total. Reconciling total spend against what Shopify and Stripe actually recorded, which is blended ROAS, blended CAC and MER, is a separate job neither product does for you.

In depth

Coupler.io vs Porter Metrics, decided on what actually changes the bill

Is Porter Metrics cheaper than Coupler.io?

For most agencies, yes, and for a small in-house team, not always. Porter Metrics bills every connected account on a rate that falls with volume, so 15 accounts cost $83.33 a month on annual billing and 100 cost $225. Coupler.io puts 15 accounts on Active at $99 and needs Pro plus 50 extra accounts, $423.50, to reach 100. The gap grows with every account you add past 50.

At the very bottom the order reverses. Three accounts cost $24 on Coupler.io Starter and $33.33 on Porter. Five accounts come out almost level, $32.98 on Coupler.io Starter with two paid extras against $33.33 on Porter. The catch is that Coupler.io Starter allows one user, one destination and 5,000 rows per run. The moment a second person needs a login, the honest comparison is Active at $99 against Porter at $33.33.

If you want the full breakdown of either ladder on its own, we priced Coupler.io pricing plans account by account, and the Porter Metrics pricing guide walks through every band, including the points where adding accounts lowers the bill.

How much does Porter Metrics cost per account?

Porter Metrics publishes its reporting price per connected data source account. One account is $15 a month, two are $30, three are $39.99 and four are $40. From 5 to 12 it is $8 per account, from 13 to 20 a flat $100, then $5 each from 21, $4.50 from 40, $4 from 50, $3 from 70, $2.70 from 100 and down to $2 from 200. Annual billing takes off two months, about 17 percent.

Two details change the math for agencies. A Google Ads manager account is not billed, only the ad accounts under it, and every 10 Google Business Profile locations count as one account. Porter also charges only for accounts that connect and return data, so authorizing access costs nothing. The lower rate in each band applies to every account in it, which is why 40 accounts cost $180 while 39 cost $195.

Porter now sells a second product alongside reporting. Automation lets an AI assistant run tasks inside your ad and social accounts and is billed on credits, with 100 a month on the free tier. It runs inside the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for. It is separate from the reporting price above and has no Coupler.io equivalent.

What counts as an account on Coupler.io and Porter Metrics?

On both, an account is one connection to one platform: a Meta ad account, a Google Ads account, a GA4 property, a Shopify store. Ten clients each running Google Ads, Meta and GA4 is 30 accounts on either tool. That shared definition is what makes a straight cost comparison possible.

What differs is everything around the account. Coupler.io also meters destinations, users, refresh frequency and rows per run on its two cheapest plans, so a small account count can still force Active. Porter Metrics meters accounts and little else, with unlimited users, reports and historical data on paid plans. On Porter, the account count really is the bill.

Which one is better for a marketing agency?

Porter Metrics, if your client stack is the usual ads, analytics and ecommerce platforms and your deliverable is a Looker Studio report. It is cheaper past about 10 accounts, it never charges for seats, one subscription covers every client, and paid plans remove the Porter badge and pull each client's branding into the dashboard.

Coupler.io, if your clients bring platforms Porter does not cover, or if you land data in a warehouse. Its catalog runs to about 440 sources including CRMs, accounting tools and databases, and BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL and Redshift are standard destinations on paid plans. Pro adds hourly refresh and workspaces for $199 a month.

If the thing you sell clients is a branded report rather than a data feed, a dedicated reporting platform may fit better than either connector. We compare those in agency reporting software pricing, on the same cost-per-client basis.

Does Porter Metrics or Coupler.io have a free plan?

Both do, and they are built for different things. Coupler.io Free allows one connected account, one user, one destination, manual refresh and 100 rows per run. It is a way to test a connector, not to run reporting. Porter Metrics starts with a 14-day trial with everything unlimited and no card, then drops to a free plan with unlimited connected accounts, up to 30 days of history and a Porter badge on AI dashboards.

For a business, the free tiers mostly answer whether the connector works with your accounts. Month-over-month reporting needs more than 30 days of history on Porter, and scheduled refresh needs a paid plan on Coupler.io. Budget for the paid tier from the start.

Do Coupler.io or Porter Metrics calculate blended ROAS?

Not on their own. Both move the figures each ad platform reports about itself into Sheets or Looker Studio. Porter includes data blending and custom fields, so you can write a blended formula yourself, but the inputs are still platform-claimed conversions. Google Ads and Meta both claim the same orders, so adding their revenue overstates the real total, often by 20 to 40 percent.

A number you can move budget on starts from the other end: total ad spend across every channel against the revenue your store and payment processor actually recorded. That gives you blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER and LTV:CAC. MixedMetrics connects read-only to the ad platforms, Shopify and Stripe and keeps those figures live on one board, from $79 a month, or $39 a month billed annually, with the AI leak layer on Growth.

Plenty of teams run a connector and a blended board side by side. The connector feeds ad-hoc analysis and client decks, and the blended board answers the weekly question of where the next dollar should go. If you are still choosing a connector, Coupler.io vs Supermetrics and Coupler.io vs Funnel.io vs Windsor.ai price the rest of the field the same way.
