Coupler.io is cheaper than Databox for almost every in-house team, and Databox becomes the cheaper one for agencies whose clients run five or more platforms each. Both count the same unit, one connected account such as a Google Ads account or a GA4 property, so the two price lists line up cleanly. Coupler.io charges $24 to $199 a month billed annually by account, plus $4.49 for each account past the plan limit. Databox sells user-and-source bundles from $71 to $319, and an Agency plan from $79 that grows in $20 client packs. What you get also differs: Coupler.io is a data pipe with dashboards attached, and Databox is a dashboard and AI analyst with its own data store.
Several pages that compare the two still quote Databox from $159 a month with $5.60 per extra source. Databox replaced that ladder when it relaunched its plans in September 2026. Every figure below was read off databox.com/pricing and coupler.io/pricing.
Databox pricing after the 2026 relaunch
| Plan | Billed annually, per month | Billed monthly | Users | Data sources | Fastest sync |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1 | 3 (1 dashboard) | Daily |
| Analyst | $71 | Not listed | 1 | 5 | Hourly |
| Team Core | $199 | $249 | 3 | 10 | Hourly |
| Team Scale | $319 | $399 | 10 | 30 | Hourly |
| Agency | $79 plus client packs | $99 plus packs | Unlimited | 20 (about 4 clients) | Hourly |
| Agency client pack | $20 each | $25 each | n/a | +1 client, +5 sources | n/a |
| Custom | Quoted | Quoted | More | Custom | Hourly |
Databox counts every account or property as a separate data source, so three GA4 properties use three. The add-ons matter for agencies: branding and white labeling is $200 a month, advanced security with enforced SSO is $80, a fiscal calendar $40, OKRs $160, and 15-minute sync is $14 a month per source. Every plan includes Genie, the AI analyst, with a monthly pool of AI credits that grows by plan. Our Databox alternative page covers what the relaunch changed in more depth.

All of Coupler.io's roughly 440 sources are available on every plan, and extra accounts cost $4.49 each on annual billing. Starter limits you to one destination and Active to three, and Pro opens them up and adds team and client workspaces. Coupler.io sends data to Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio, Power BI, BigQuery, Snowflake and more, and it has 230+ dashboard templates of its own. The full ladder is on our Coupler.io pricing plans page.
What eight real setups cost on each
All figures are per month on annual billing. For Databox Agency, each client pack adds one client and five sources, so you need enough packs to cover whichever runs out first.
| Setup | Users | Accounts | Databox, cheapest fit | Coupler.io, cheapest fit | Cheaper license |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo marketer, 5 accounts | 1 | 5 | $71 (Analyst) | $32.98 (Starter plus 2 extra) | Coupler.io |
| In-house team, 10 accounts | 3 | 10 | $199 (Team Core) | $99 (Active) | Coupler.io |
| Marketing department, 30 accounts | 10 | 30 | $319 (Team Scale) | $166.35 (Active plus 15 extra) | Coupler.io |
| Agency, 4 clients on 5 platforms | Team | 20 | $79 (Agency) | $121.45 (Active plus 5 extra) | Databox |
| Agency, 10 clients on 5 platforms | Team | 50 | $199 (Agency plus 6 packs) | $199 (Pro) | Even |
| Agency, 20 clients on 5 platforms | Team | 100 | $399 (Agency plus 16 packs) | $423.50 (Pro plus 50 extra) | Databox |
| Agency, 20 clients on 3 platforms | Team | 60 | $399 (Agency plus 16 packs) | $243.90 (Pro plus 10 extra) | Coupler.io |
| Agency, 40 clients on 3 platforms | Team | 120 | $799 (Agency plus 36 packs) | $513.30 (Pro plus 70 extra) | Coupler.io |
Add $200 a month to every Databox agency figure if the client has to see your brand instead of Databox's. Coupler.io lists no white-label option, so the branded report is something you build in Looker Studio or another destination.
Is Coupler.io cheaper than Databox?
For an in-house team, clearly. Databox ties sources to user bundles, so a team of three pays $199 for Team Core even with only 10 accounts, while Coupler.io Active gives unlimited users and 15 accounts for $99. A ten-person department on 30 accounts pays $319 on Databox Team Scale against $166.35 on Coupler.io.
The comparison is not quite like for like, and that is the honest caveat. Databox includes the dashboards, goals, alerts and an AI analyst that answers questions in plain English. Coupler.io's cheaper tiers refresh daily and assume you will build the analysis in Sheets or Looker Studio. If nobody on the team wants to maintain a report, Databox's higher price buys real work back.
Which is cheaper for a marketing agency?
It turns on platforms per client, and the rule is easy to remember. Past the base allowance, Databox charges $20 for each client pack of five sources, and Coupler.io charges $4.49 for each extra account. A client on three platforms costs $13.47 on Coupler.io and a full $20 pack on Databox. A client on five platforms costs $22.45 on Coupler.io and still $20 on Databox. The two are level at about 4.5 platforms per client.
That is the same crossover we found when pricing Coupler.io vs AgencyAnalytics, where AgencyAnalytics charges $20 per client flat. The difference is that AgencyAnalytics includes white label in the $20 and Databox does not. If your clients want a polished monthly report more than a live analyst, a reporting-first tool may beat both, and Coupler.io vs DashThis pricing runs the same scenarios against DashThis bundles.
Which one should you buy?
Buy Coupler.io if your team already works in spreadsheets, Looker Studio or a warehouse, if you need data from CRMs, accounting tools or databases that marketing dashboards do not cover, or if your clients run three or four platforms each. It is the lower license in most setups and the only one of the two built to move data onward.
Buy Databox if you want the dashboard, goals and AI answers in one product without building anything, or if you run an agency book where most clients sit on five or more platforms. Price the $200 white-label add-on in from day one if clients will log in.
Both stop at your own accounts. Tracking what rival brands change on their pricing pages and in their ads is a separate job for a competitor monitoring tool, and neither product tries to do it.
What neither tool tells you about ad revenue
Both products report what each ad platform claims about itself. Google Ads and Meta both take credit for many of the same orders, so the platform ROAS figures on a dashboard add up to more revenue than the business actually banked, often by 20 to 40 percent. Databox can build a blended ratio with custom metrics and Coupler.io can do it in a spreadsheet, but someone has to wire the revenue side to the store or billing system and keep it right.
That is the job blended ROAS software does by default. MixedMetrics connects read-only to Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, GA4, Shopify and Stripe and keeps blended ROAS, blended CAC, MER and LTV:CAC live on one board against the revenue your store recorded, from $79 a month or $39 a month billed annually, with the AI leak layer from Growth and white-label client reports on Scale. Many teams keep their connector or dashboard tool for everything else and use the blended board to decide where next week's budget goes.
